Instructions:
1
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out your pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie pan. Flute the edges if desired and set aside.
2
Prepare the Pumpkin Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, and eggs until smooth. Add the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is well combined.
3
Assemble the Pie:
Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared pie crust. Use a spatula to smooth the top, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
4
Bake:
Place the pie in the oven and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5
Cool the Pie:
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours. This allows the filling to set completely.
6
Serve:
Serve your pumpkin pie at room temperature or chilled. Add a dollop of whipped cream for a delicious finishing touch!
